Article of Interest: Climate Change

www.quebecoislibre.org/07/070128-5.htm

For the record, I am one of those that remains skeptical about the hysteria around global warming. Something in its math is not adding up. One problem is the bacteria of special interest that has littered the whole process of discourse. They remind me of people who move forward with picks and shovels heading from house to house trying to convince (and scaring) people of their "noble" cause while laying waste to the paths they walk upon. I don't question their commitment or knowledge, I question their wisdom.

  1. K&B, thanks for taking the time to write this message. Did you read the link? Special interest never swings one way as you'd like to believe. However, your last question is what struck me as somewhat unfortunate and presumptuous. Spend time here and you would see that this sort of "challenge" is unnecessary around here. I rail against stagnant intellectualism and I am not prepared to ever censure anyone that differs from me or my views. I make it a point to invite people under "blinks" that have different opinions. If you were looking for a monster you will not find one here. I would not be so quick to believe that the public is swindled into believing anything other than what you just said - most have heard all this before. The majority of people believe global warming. It's always intrigued me how people paint themselves as their information being censured or alternative when the mainstream has disclosed it. The link I provided offers a different take from a libertarian perspective - nor does that mean I am libertarian. One that should give a moment to ponder that Mother Nature will have the last say. And by the way, there are some great scientists who question this free of special interest. This is not Newton's Law of Gravity we're dealing with where it becomes a natural law of science. See? I don't mind debate. As long as it's fair and honest and not personal. I use one simple mantra: convince me. Thanks again. Now I missed 15 minutes of my soccer game. Thanks for nothing ;<)

Sites such as this always fascinate me. A few clicks on links & advertisers and one can see that the advertisements, scientists & links (and one must assume, the Common 'tater) quoted have ties to Exxon, big business, the M/I complex & others who spend huge $$ promoting their interests at the expense of legitimate scientists (oops! I mean liberal intellectual elitists) and the rest of us living on planet earth. In the end, we will all pay for this campaign of disinformation.

  3. Jack B, what exaclty are you referring to or implying? Which advertisements on the Quebecois Libre? On my site? Because if so, I have no clue what you're talking about. Yeah, Exxon sends me a cheque every month to express an opinion.

So, you admit that Exxon pays you to lie? That's incredible. THAT right there proves global warming is true. Now jump off a bridge.

  5. Are you stupid? Do you know how to read? Get outta here. Before that, make sure that when you browse around blogs attacking people that you actually inhibit some class and intelligencein your pea-brained and insipide responses. And it's not Exxon - Wal-Mart sends me many cheques. Four a month. As for any of you who take issue with this post, I welcome it - as long as it is reasoned and well thought out. For pointers on how to avoid looking like a dimwitted fool just follow the above "anonymous" vigilante.

  6. ooops, insipid is not spelled with an "e" i knew that. just didn't reread it. then again, anonymous would not have noticed since he is blinded by his (or her - or it) own visions and perceptions.

    Nick Locke-

Yes, global warming is only too real. It is an problem, but the goverments are hardly even trying to stop the problems. Only Al Gore took that extra step. If the goverments (UN) decided to spend more money to help stop global warming instead of spending it on war machines, then the world might not go into an apocalypse.

You might care about global warming, but some people don't. They don't realize that the problem will soon be out of humanity's hand, or in a better way, it will be almost impossible to stop. Countless Hurrcaines and temperatures rising extremely will make certain places impossible to live in. If we use air conditioning in the places that will be almost impossible to live in, it will create more greenhouse gases in the area. That will cause the temperature to rise higher. This pattern will go on in an endless circle, unless the people of the area move (Which would then it may cause crowding to the area they move to, if it's crowded already), then soon the ocean will heat up so much, that when a cold current comes, a hurrcaine will form, and it may destroy the area.

The goverment should act before something like what I described above happens, then globla warming could come to a stop. The goverment could invest more money into campaigns that promote the idea of using less energy and more physical activity outside, then people could get heatlthy, and it may bring down the local temperature a few degrees.

  9. Thank you for this. I can't say I was unaware of this angle though. It is one of the better, more compassionate please I've read.

At least it's free from the chap who thought I was getting paid by Exxon.

    Nick Locke-

Your welcome, but it's sad that what I written before is only one angle from the problem of global warming
