Newspapers Can't Be Saved

I discussed the notion of bailing out newspapers a while ago. It was a bad idea then and remains a bad idea now; as this article from Business Insider  makes all too clear.

    Interesting article.

I wonder if I can get a subsidy for making sundials and quills? I do make both of them and I would be willing to make a great deal more and far better too if I could get the government to fork over some money.

Who am I kidding? I'd take the money and figure out how to do the most half-assed minimum effort job I could get away with and expect the Fed's to give me HEALTH CARE! in the offing.

  2. Obama is trying desperately to matter.

You don't sound like you're a fan of the health care reform plan?

Our system doesn't work very well, but if we adopt Canada's system, where will Canadian politicians go to get surgery?

  4. Just wanted to say hi, Ale. So you are left-handed. I learned it from Zeus' blog. I don't see how you can mess things up with a fountain pen.

  5. Yes, you read right. I'm a leftie.

A fountain pen's ink doesn't dry fast enough. As you know, most lefties right with a "hook" and move towards what we write thus smudging the ink. Righties moves away from the ink.

It's why I started printed and don't really hand-write - printing allows me to pause and wait a second to let the ink dry.

I had major problems in school. A teacher even failed me once.

Then you wonder why I rebelled in school!
