The Band: Canada's Greatest Band

Let's see. I discussed the best all-time rock bands which usually include in the top five or ten British and American bands or acts. But what about Canada? We're not without our share of great bands, right? But which is the best - or most influential one?

As far as I'm concerned Canada gave the world that baaaddd assss Neil Young. So this should be enough.

Luckily, we offer more. For me, The Band (fronted by Robbie Robertson. Now is that a hockey name or what?) is Canada's greatest band. Yeah, the fact they sang Americana -  Appalachian, bluegrass, country-western etc. - is not lost on me but Canada doesn't really have an indigenous "sound" to begin with.

I already posted this song in the past. Nonetheless, you can't post this too many times. The great Levon Helms on drums is a Southern American. Just being fair:
