Is Israel Losing The Propaganda War?

Discuss.

Is there a "propaganda" war?

Speaking of the Israeli-Palestinian issue, while I never really attempted to truly pick a side I did get to see up front how each faculty behaves in University. Let's just say we "neutrals" weren't very impressed with the Palestinian student group and the assortment of fringe leftists who joined them in causing unnecessary damage and general inconveniences. Moreover, they're not much for debate and free speech from what I've seen. You disagreed you were shouted down. People tried to engage but to no avail.

Hey, that's just me and the gang I hung with.

  1. Of course there is a propaganda war between Israël and the Palestinians. And yes Israël is losing it because of it's arrogance and feisty attitude also because of the disproportion of it's reprisals.
Both sides have a legitimate cause and use illegitimate means to win it; it's just that Israël's means are so much more powerful and lethal than the other side's.
However terror, the weapon of the weaks can be devastaing and not to be underestimated.
It takes two to make a war and two to make peace...but none of the two want peace onless they get ALL they want, not a way to negoptiate.
And, as you first hand know, in those parts and understandiong is just one step towards getting more.

  2. As my father-in-law who was of Lebanese extract (God rest his soul) used to say, the word "compromise" doesn't exist in the Arab lexicon. And when you do manage some semblance of a deal it's a Pyrrhic victory.

It's not easy in those parts indeed.
