Burn, Baby, Burn

Is there a difference between burning the Koran and the American flag?

Just asking.

  1. Oh Commentator... don't you realize one symbolizes hatred, oppression, violence, the destruction of cultures, and blind obedience, and the other is a Quran.

  3. Tasteless, provocative, insulting, bullying, and ugliness. These acts are much the same.

  4. Yep, that's the joke.

I'm kind of sad the event is off.

On another note, so many horrible lessons from this. One: if your religion is so violent that criticizing you may result in people dying, you get your way. Two: doing something really offensive will make you famous. Three: Christians in the south still love a good ole fashioned book burnin'.

  5. It is strange to hear people denounce the book burning not because burning books is retarded but rather from the perspective Muslims/Islam are irrational, nutcases who will go berserk burning flags and blowing up ice-cream shops.

    Which, I guess, there's a precedence for.
