Some Justice For Sal Culosi

A swat team sent in for a sports bet? Worse, a senseless killing for...again...a sports bet? How is this not an act of thuggery? Murder? How does this help society in any way? Serve and protect what?

A loss of life over a...bet. To me it is senseless in this case.

Holy crap.

  1. Trying to locate an unbiased description of events seems as difficult as obtaining justice in this case. If the suspect (Culosi) was being cooperative then no gun should have been pointed at him. If the WAT officer was properly trained, as claimed, he would not have had his finger on the trigger and the thumb safety would have been on at that point. Actually, no handgun at that point should have been out of its holster. Later I found Reason Magazine's take on it and learned that the officer alleged that he exited a vehicle (Chevy Suburban) and the door recoiled back causing him to accidentally fire his weapon, striking Culosi in the chest.

    Doesn't pass the smell test.
