Question

Do libertarians hate superheroes?

I mean, most fall on the side of the law and take part in government operations in the name of freedom.

Are they interventionist vigilantes or libertine mercenaries? Something else?

  1. I think they like Batman. Nikk once expressed a certain respect for Robin Hood. I'm sure libertarians would go for the Watchmen, too.

  2. Superman and his fascist "patriotism" and support of the cops and the "law", no! Batman and his suspicions about the established order and his operation on the edge (if not outside) the law, maybe (some interpretations of Batman are more objectionable than others).

  3. Hi Highheels! Since T.C. didn't delete it, I must assume your comment is not spam. So, your superhero of choice is Super Cheap High Heeled Shoes? I think I read the comic book once, but I thought I heard a big budget Hollywood film was also in the works. Any word on that?

I guess Super Cheap is pretty typical of superheros, "cleaning up" the warehouse district and fighting illegal "discount promotions" (some kind of code for the underground economy?)

Well, I don't know if you're libertarian, but perhaps you are pro free trade at least (I'm guessing those cheap shoes come from China).
