Atheists Threatened By The Cross

Atheists are clowns? Who knew?

If it was a Star or David or Vishnu or whatever, I wouldn't mind either. I'm not afraid of religion like these folks.

"...It appears based on the arguments of the lawyers of the museum," he said, "they're arguing from pretty solid ground - that a museum cannot be prohibited from displaying a historical item merely because the item has religious significance or is in viewed with religious significance by others. I think the lawyers for the museum were also right to condemn this as an attempt to revise the very history of the site by trying to keep the 9/11 cross out of the museum."

Absolutely.

Methinks censorship may be taking root here.

  1. Ah, but what if the Star of David was giving you diarrhoea, or made you want to kill yourself? What if looking at the Star of David made you discombobulated and you couldn't remember your mommy's phone number or even how to get home at night? Then - THEN you might want to have it removed. Then you might understand the agony that atheists all over America are experiencing. This is no small matter. Men and women at becoming physically and mentally ill because of this steal beam. Something has to be done or, or, well, something has to be done or they'll get even more upset.

  2. Thesauros, love the T-I-C humor.

The loudmouth atheists (the ones I contend are not atheist but anti-theist) get all the attention. They get it because they seek it with lawsuits and outrageous proclamations issued from organizations you never heard of before (and probably have membership lists that are mostly fantasy). This gives the true atheist (which I consider myself) a bad name. Crosses, Stars of David, "In God we trust" on money, and so on, do not bother me at all. Neither did prayer in school while I was growing up. Like left-handed people in a right-handed world, the smart atheist accepts that he is in the minority in most societies and considers himself fortunate to not live in an Islamic dominated country.

  3. I agree with Doug. Funny stuff Thesauros.

We're of like mind, sir. It's pretty much how I view things. Feeling "threatened" for frivolous things is sometimes a state of mind.

I'm a leftie living in a right-hand world and aside from the occasional "we should exterminate" righties, I'm good with it. In my day, schools weren't exactly sympathetic to left-handers.

    1. We abused you lefties mercilessly... from making fun of the way you guys had to curl your hands around to write to laughing at you trying to use right-handed scissors. I grew up, however, and only make fun of left-handed golfers.

    2. You're bringing back nightmares. Unike these bums, I've moved on.

I have another for you. I didn't have a baseball glove so my friend lent me his. I had catch, remove the glove, and throw.

  4. Also, I was unaware you could segment them further into anti-theists.
