I Just Don't Get It

I was briefly listening to a weekly review panel of Canadian political strategists and the topic moved to the Presidential debates. Each person from the NDP, PC and Liberals all expressed shock at Obama's performance. The Liberal strategist even went as far as to say "I think I can speak for all of us when I say we all like Obama..." /Nods of approval all round.

Gosh.

What have they been seeing in the last couple of years?

It really shouldn't surprise anyone Romney pummeled Obama.

The NDP guy asserted "Obama has been a good President" and were it not for "Republican intransigence" he would have accomplished more.

More outrageous was his one-side claim that Romney though the better debater, did it by skewing the facts. Right. Because Obama wasn't doing that. Of course not.

I expect more from so-called political strategists. At the very least, acknowledge how American politics works. For two years Obama had the entire American political system at his disposal.

Yesterday, Anne-Lagace Dawson said a stupid thing on the radio. She called Romney a religious nut.

Now, now. Calm down. She is NDP so don't be so hard on her.

But really.

This is how the left thinks. How a Mormon businessman that governed the most liberal state in the Union in Massachusetts is a "religious nut" baffles me. He's never ever once displayed any religious fervor. America is god damn secular nation. Ah, but to them, Obama's association with questionable people like Rev. Wright is "ok."

The left is "concerned" about his agenda. Had they paid any attention at all, they'd know Romney to the hard conservative base is classified as a RINO.

He's far from extremist.
