The President Struggles With Easily Verifiable Facts

Regarding yet another deadly shooting in the U.S., this time Oregon, Obama made a rather astounding, ill-informed comment. He said along the lines of "this does not happen in any other civilized country."

/Raises hand.

Um, Mr. President, does the University of Montreal Polytechnique massacre in 1986 and Dawson College shooting rampage mean anything to you?

Lord, Dumblane alone was an atrocity that shocked the world.

Are you that oblivious as your critics claim? Just how incompetent are the people around him? Just do a damn google search and look at what you can find.

There's no excuse for a leader of his stature to make such an erroneous and misguided statement.

At least he didn't say, "full stop. Period" I suppose.

Update:

Here's the exact quote: "There’s no advanced, developed country on earth that would put up with this.”

Huh? I said, what the huh?

YET, he then goes and says this:

Couple of decades ago, Australia had a mass shooting, similar to Columbine or Newtown. And Australia just said, well, that’s it, we’re not doing, we’re not seeing that again, and basically imposed very severe, tough gun laws, and they haven’t had a mass shooting since.
Our levels of gun violence are off the charts. There’s no advanced, developed country that would put up with this.

I thought no civilized country does this (Canada is up to four deadly shootings I believe).

No wonder his foreign policy lies in absolute incoherent tatters.

No person who would have such variances in their speeches could possibly be consistent and focused in their governance.

For the record, I've posted in the past and you can look it up, Australia's gun confiscation scheme failed miserably and Aussie's are now fighting to get 'em back since violent crime sky rocketed soon after.
